Choosing an Integration Method

The JavaScript and React libraries support two ways of opening the payment modal:

  • From the frontend: pass your public key, amount and customer details directly to the library. This is the quickest way to get started.
  • With an access code: initialize the transaction on your server, then pass only the access_code and reference to the library. The amount and customer details never reach the browser, so they can't be viewed or changed. We recommend this for production.

See Checkout with Access Code for the JavaScript library, or useBudPayAccessCode for React.

Whichever method you use, always verify the transaction on your server before giving value.
